SAC DÉCORATIF
Collectible Fashion, Made by Hand: Conscious Select × Sac Décoratif
Sac Décoratif began in the archives — in the fashion and art history of eras when clothing was inseparable from artistic practice. Founded by designer Margarita, the brand was built around a single conviction: that fashion can be a collectible object, made to live across generations rather than expire with a season.
The first collection is dedicated to the Art Deco period and the 1920s, with references that reach well beyond fashion. Margarita drew from Sonia Delaunay's costume sketches and her principle of Simultanism, from the polished-satin surfaces of Tamara de Lempicka's paintings, and from the cultural figures who defined the visual language of the time — Paul Poiret, Josephine Baker, Greta Garbo. The Midnight Charleston bag was born from the smoky atmosphere of a late-night jazz bar. The Flapper from the bright, expressive femininity of the era. Each piece carries its reference without explaining it.
The Making
Every Sac Décoratif piece is entirely handcrafted using couture techniques rediscovered from past decades — beading, sequin work, delicate fabric construction, and intricate texture building that cannot be replicated by machine. Each piece is produced in editions of between 3 and 20 only. Nothing is mass produced. Nothing is made in advance of demand.
This is what Margarita calls the revival of collectible fashion — art objects that happen to be worn, made slowly and in strict limitation, designed to be kept and passed on rather than replaced.
